Sorry, this was just a quick photo response to an anon asking for me to introduce you all to ‘blue’… Yes, my insulin pump has a (rather unoriginal!) name :P
Hmm… I’ve just realised that I talk a lot about my diabetes, but have never really ‘shown’ anything photos wise, so that it all makes sense! I mean I think if I posted a picture of the infusion set it may gross some people out, yes…?? :P just in case anyone didn’t know what I actually mean by infusion set (potential TW) it is literally just a tiny tube that goes under the surface of my skin (usually just below my hips - wherever there’s any surplus ‘fat’ really, and there’s not a lot anymore! Another motivation for weight gain at least…!) which I have to change every 3 days - well now every 2 days on my consultants advice, to try as reduce the amount of ‘failures’.
Hmm… maybe I will post more diabetes ‘photos’ though, like of my blood sugar meter etc… I mean would anyone actually be interested though?! Don’t worry, I won’t be offended if you say no… :P
Blue does cause me a lot of frustration, anxiety, has been shouted at numerous times and very nearly thrown across a room… but we always ‘reconcile’ - you can’t be too mad at something that’s keeping you alive, right? Kind of like food I guess…?! :)
